What is Impact Investment?
Impact-focused investing, or simply impact investing, is an investment strategy that primarily seeks to achieve social or environmental goals, next to generating longer term financial benefits. Investing in renewable energy projects that reduce Greenhouse Gas emissions is a typical example. Or supporting the planting of trees to increase GHG absorption and contribute to biodiversity is another example of impact investing.
