We are at a halfway point. It has been 7 years since 194 nations agreed on the Paris Agreement, in which the world agreed to limit global warming to 1.5% compared to pre-industrial levels. Science tells us emissions need to be halved by 2030. The upcoming COP28 conference in Dubai (November 30th – Dec 12th) will be the perfect occasion to take stock of our progress to date. And rethink, reboot and refocus the climate agenda. Recent studies have shown we are not making sufficient progress and we need to speed up. We are looking forward to the outcomes of the conference and it’s impact on business, governments and our society as a whole.
